The Velvet Devil wins 13 awards at the
SMPIA Showcase 2008 - April 3, 2008
The Velvet Devil has won in all 12 nominated categories in the Saskatchewan Motion Picture Association's Showcase 2008. The film also won the "Best of Showcase" award.
The 13 awards are:
  • Best Drama (Over 60 minutes)
  • Best of Showcase
  • Best Direction (Dramatic) - Larry J. Bauman
  • Best Performance-Female Lead - Andrea Menard
  • Best Performance- Male Supporting - Rod Salloum
  • Best Performance Female Supporting - Kayleigh Shikanai
  • Best Script (Fictional) - Larry J.Bauman, Andrea Menard
  • Best Art Direction - Hugh Shankland
  • Best Overall Sound - Rob Bryanton, Steve Hasiak, Leon Johnson
  • Best Original Score - Andrea Menard, Robert Walsh, Rob Bryanton
  • Best Costume - Cathy McComb
  • Best Hair - Tamara Harrod
  • Best Post-Production Special Effects - Jack Tunnicliffe

    Rabbit Fall (TV series)
    Andrea stars as police officer Tara Wheaton in this series which is airing on APTN on Friday nights at 6:30 PM in Saskatchewan (7:30 ET/PT) and Saturday at 7:00 PM (8:00 ET/PT).
